Restriction of devotees on Makaravilakku day
The latest news of Sabarimala revealed that the Movement of a Ayyappa devotees at Sabarimala to be restricted during Makaravilakku day, according to the official report the devotees will be stopped at Pampa during this day to avoid accidents due to rush. As part of the health protection, about 40 oxygon cylinders allocated to the health centre at Pampa to strengthen the oxygen parlors at Sannidhanam. This Oxygen cylinder helps to giving artificial breaths to Devotees while climbing Sabarimala and the cylinders would be refilled from Pathanamthitta general hospital.
Security tightened at Sabarimala on 5th December 2011
As part of the anniversary of the Babri Masjid Demolition on December 6 the security of the Samarimala is more tightened. In addition to the regular security forces, there would be posted special armed commandos at Sannidhanam as part of security of Sabarimala. From these days the police will guide the devotees flow from Vadasserikkara on the Mannarakulanji-Pampa main route to Sabarimala from 5th December 2011.
Sabarimala Pilgrims killed on in Van- bus collision
On Monday December 2011 seven pilgrims were killed in Van accident and 15 pilgrims were injured in accident. The van traveled by the pilgrims was colliding with a bus, the incident happened near to the Salem on Monday. The van with pilgrims was from Andrapradesh.
LCD Monitoring system on Sabarimala
According to the latest news on December 5th , the LCD Monitoring system will be installed along the paths at various parts of Sabarimala to facilitating climbing of pilgrims. It will helps to giving instructions to the pilgrims during certain emergency situation. It is most essential like this populated pilgrims area.
Queue booking system in Sabarimala
In Sabarimala temple, established queue booking system for facilitating the pilgrims to choose date and time for joining the queue at Sannidhanam dor ascending the 18 holy steps. It will reduce the rush and tightness in Valiyanada Pandal at Sannidhanam. On every hour 1000 pilgrims can get this opportunity when the temple is open. This system facilitates to reduce the rush atmosphere on the Sannidhanam.

According to the latest news on December 1st 2011 kerala water authority was offering 1 crore litters of water at Pampa and Sannidhanam as daily basis, as par of the Mandala season at Sabarimala temple to facilitating the water supply at Sabarimala during Mandala season.
